Betty Cardy, educated in Sleaford High School and Trinity College of Music London. Spent 7 years lecturing on music teaching and general education at Kesteven Training College near Grantham. Spent one year as the Head of Music at Bournemouth School for Girls. After teaching part time in Germany and UK, set up her own Music Shop in Harrogate selling and exporting instruments, sheet music and books. Spent ten years as organiser to the Nationally acclaimed Harrogate Music and Drama Festival. Sold the business successfully and moved to Lincoln with husband Brian when he worked for Short Brothers PLC at Scampton Took over as Company Secretary in 1991. Still maintains a portfolio of Piano pupils in her Piano teaching practice.

Currently carrying out research on Quality, Environmental, Business Continuity and Information Security issues related to International Standards Organisation Standards: ISO 9001, !4001,BS 2599 and 27001.
